Scrapbook Ideas For a South African World Cup Soccer Layout

South Africa 2010

With World Cup Soccer fever in the air at the moment, why not take your precious photo's taken at this once in a lifetime event and scrapbook them. You can then frame them for all to view. Here are some scrapbook ideas for a South African World Cup Soccer Layout.

Soccer balls for some reason are readily available at the moment. All the craft and hobby shops are cashing in on the World Cup Fever. You can buy wonderful soccer ball stickers, South African miniature flags, and even soccer themed patterned paper. So if you have some soccer world cup photographs, that you want to scrapbook in the future, now is the time to buy, while it is the season.

Soccer balls stickers make wonderful embellishments for your World Cup Soccer layout. Try sticking down a big ball and overlapping it with a few smaller balls for effect. You can also use small ball stickers to jazz up your tags. Another great use for soccer ball embellishments is to use them for the letter O in your lettering.

Another great idea is to get a large soccer ball to fit on one side of your 8 x 8 layout. Trace the hexagon shapes on the ball and cut your photographs to size to fit within the shapes. The black and white part of the soccer ball will do a great job of matting these photographs.

Here are some great and appropriate words that you can use on your World Cup Soccer Layout. Try goal, goal post, play, vuvuzela, admit one, soccer fan and soccer supporter to name a few. I saw a beautiful scrapbook layout of somebody's cut little doggy dressed in canine soccer gear, playing with a soccer ball, and the wording - Anyone can be a Soccer fan.

If you collect some Soccer World Cup mementos, try to design a pocket to keep them in on your scrapbook layout. This will also keep any acid away from your photographs. Another way to protect your layout from acid is to spray it with a de-acidifying solution like Archival Mist. This is an invention that I have only discovered recently that neutralizes the item and makes it safe for your scrapbook. You can also spray it on newspaper clippings to prevent them turning yellow. Be sure to mist both the front and back of your item.

If you have bulky mementos, try photographing them to include in your layout. Scanning sometimes also works well, and if you don't have a scanner, a color photo copy will work just as well.

Using other embellishments such as ticket stubs, branded clothing tags, small maps of Africa, will also work well to preserve your memories of the South African World Cup Soccer forever. For more scrapbook ideas, visit: http://scrapbookideasandsolutions.blogspot.com.
